Final Score: Hitchin 18 - 4 Spencer Todays match saw an excellent turnout for Hitchin, 15 players making a 'sea of orange'. Spencer meanwhile had only managed to travel with 10 players and so Hitchin were confident. Hitchin started strongly and took the early lead and controlled the first quarter which ended 5 - 0. In the second quarter, Hitchin continued their dominance although spencer did score and the halftime score was 9 - 1 to Hitchin. An extra Spencer player turned up during the quarter, giving them 1 sub, allowing Spencer's midfield some rest. During the third quarter, Spencer's defence worked well and managed to restrict Hitchin to 3 goals and managed to score 1 themselves making it 12 - 2 at 3/4 time. In the final quarter, Hitchin began to score more freely and managed to get 6 goals. Spencer also managed a couple, from fast breaks. Final score 18 - 4 to Hitchin.
