Final Score: Oxford University 3 - 20 Hitchin Hitchin were late arriving for the game against Oxford Uni, the majority of players only arriving 15 mins before the game was due to start. Luckily, Hitchin didn't seem to need much warm-up and started the game well. Some good dodges resulted in several goals for Hitchin although Oxford managed to score one of a crease feed. Quarter score 1 - 4 to Hitchin. Hitchin continued after the interval and scored several more. Oxford managed to grab another and the half-time score was 2 - 9 to Hitchin. The third quarter contained more of the same. Hitchin scoring several and Oxford getting one back. 3/4 score 3 - 14 to Hitchin. The game finished strongly for Hitchin. They managed to shut Oxford out in the final quarter and score 6 goals. Final score 3 - 20 to Hitchin. Thanks to Jon Harrop for refereeing. |
