Final Score: RMAS 2 - 13 Hitchin 'A' Once again Hitchin 'A' had a full team plus subs, for their visit to RMAS. Hitchin's experience allowed them to dominate the play during the 1st and 2nd quarters despite RMAS winning most of the face-offs. RMAS kept going and had possession for a while, they took a few shots but couldn't quite hit the target. Hitchin 'A' scored 6 in the 1st quarter and 5 in the 2nd quarter. At half time it was RMAS 0 - 11 Hitchin 'A' giving Martin the goalie a clean sheet. In the 3rd quarter Hitchin 'A' had tired and lost a little steam, RMAS found themselves gaining possession more often and had several shots at goal. Hitchin 'A' defence had to work hard in this quarter and put in a good performance along with the quick reactions of Shakey in goal. Neither team scored in this quarter. During the 4th quarter both teams were gaining equal possession, the Hitchin defence allowed a small gap to open up, RMAS slipped through and scored 2 goals. Hitchin replied by taking charge in mid-field, moving the ball and scoring 2 more goals just before the final whistle. Both teams displayed good sportsmanship and played a good clean game. What RMAS lacked in experience they made up for it with grit, determination and stamina. They also provide some great hospitality after the match.
