Final Score: RMAS 1 - 21 Hitchin 'A' Hitchin 'A' took early control of this weeks' match against RMAS, with a 7 - 0 lead in the 1st quarter. RMAS had several attacking opportunities but lacked the fininshing touch. The 2nd quarter followed a similar pattern as Hitchin 'A' found the back of the net another 6 times. RMAS just couldn't find their way past the experienced defence of Hitchin 'A'. Hitchin 'A' had a comfortable lead going into the 3rd quarter which allowed them to put their new players out on the field. The RMAS goalie had a great quarter, making several on target saves and keeping Hitchin 'A's score down to 3 goals. RMAS fought hard for possession but still couldn't find the back of the net. The 4th quarter saw Hitchin 'A' extend their lead over RMAS with another 5 goals. RMAS didn't let their team spirit weaken or give up the fight as they continued to contest every ball. Moments from the final whistle RMAS had a shot saved, but the ball bounced to the underside of the goalies' stick as he brought it backwards, and Shakey scored an own goal as he nudged the ball over the the line! This caused RMAS to cheer, celebrate and shout 'come on! we can pull this back' RMAS have mostly new and inexperienced players who displayed a great team spirit. Once they gain more experience they will be a very strong team, especially after Mr Ray Harry has invited them to Hitchin for some intense training!
