Both teams fielded strong sides this week with plenty of subs. Hitchin 'A' had a slow start which saw London Uni go ahead by 5 - 0 at quarter time. Hitchin 'A' then pulled themselves together and started to play like a team in the second quarter. Both teams played end to end with only a goal each due to great defensive play from both sides. Half time score London Uni 6 - 1 Hitchin 'A'.

The 3rd quarter saw London edge ahead with another 2 goals. Ray Harry's goal for Hitchin caused London to comment " How did he score from behind the goal ? " Ray....just smiled!

Going into the last quarter London Uni were ahead 8 - 2. Both teams played end to end fighting hard for every ball but London Uni kept the pressure on and scored 3 more goals.

Hitchin 'A' didn't play their best but they did have some very nice moves in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. The midfielders lacked a little enthusiasm and the defence were caught napping a couple of times. Hitchin 'A' had their wake up call this week....welcome to East 1.

The whole match was played in great spirits and was a pleasure to referee.
