About Hitchin Lacrosse

The Hitchin Lacrosse Club was founded in 1980 by Ray Harry. Starting with a single team, the club steadily improved, progressing through the lower divisions of the South of England League and entering the top division in 1990.

After playing at various grounds in North Hertfordshire the club joined the Hitchin Cricket Club and now play all their home games at Lucas Lane.

In the spring of 1999 the Luton Sprites Ladies Lacrosse team decided to amalgamate with the club. This brought a new dimension to the club and lead to the development of a strong mixed team in addition to the two men's teams and the Hitchin Hackers junior team.

The club trains all year round and welcomes players of all standards. Our two full-time professional coaches are always on-hand to provide advice and guidance to players of all ages and abilities.

The mens 1st team experienced great success during the 2005/06 season, winning the newly formed SEMLA Premier division for the first time.
